OUR STROKE CHAMPIONS AND STROKE AMBASSADORS
Our Stroke Champions are committed to supporting the Vision and Mission of Stroke Action Nigeria. An example is His Majesty Alfred Nnaemeka Achebe the Obi of Onitsha who donated the building for our first 'Life After Stroke Centre' in Nigeria which is based in Onitsha, Anambra State.
We also recruit, develop and support stroke survivors, carers of stroke survivors, health and social care professionals and individuals interested in stroke care as Volunteers.
Following a period of preparation and evidence of committed advocacy, Volunteers are awarded the role of a 'STROKE AMBASSADOR'. A certificate of recognition for individual achievement is presented annually on World Stroke Day during our stakeholder conference the Stroke Assembly.
